Establishing Community Gardens and Managing the First Growing Season
We establish and launch community gardens in collaboration with local governments. Throughout the entire process, we provide professional, community development, and legal support to ensure that the garden operates sustainably in the long term. The one-year partnership includes:
Az egyéves együttműködés részei:
- drafting contracts and garden bylaws
- recruitment and community organizing
- 4 community development workshops
- 4 gardening training sessions
- consulting on the garden design process
- managing the garden during the first season
- organizing community programs and garden meetings, held monthly
- Building shared garden furniture, designing the community space,
- Creating shared planting areas in the garden (herb garden, flower beds, etc.)
- Pest control and gardening visits
- Establishing garden roles and an operational structure
- Consciously guiding the community through the first season, followed by a transition away from the garden
Our goal is for the community to become an independently operating garden community by the end of the first season, with its own garden leaders and coordinators and a stable community foundation. We aim for them to operate independently and successfully starting in the next season.
